Who needs to enroll? State law requires children between the ages of 6 and 16 to attend school. Any child who becomes 5 years of age on or before August 1 is eligible for the Primary School Program (beginning with Kindergarten).
How do I enroll my child? Families new to the Covington Independent Public Schools can now complete the enrollment process online. If you have never registered as a student (K-12) with our district, please click the link below and follow the prompts.
Required Documentation for Enrollment
Birth certificate or proof of guardianship
Custody agreement (if applicable)
Copy of the child's Social Security card
Two forms of proof of residency
(Utility bill to the legal guardian, rental/lease/purchase contracts, etc.)
Physical Exam (all grade levels) Preventative healthcare examination form
Vision Exam
Dental Exam
Parents/Guardians can visit our District Enrollment Center or complete the Online Registration (OLR) process…Write down your application number…After your OLR application is completed, you will be contacted by one of our Enrollment Clerks to complete the registration process.
